FRESH MOMENT of the week…
Our inspiration for Crème Ancienne, a precious age-delay moisturizer, came from the world’s first emulsion-based cream. Developed in the 2nd century by Claudius Galen, esteemed doctor to Marcus Aurelius, the cream was used to quickly heal gladiators’ wounds.
Intent on reawakening the past, we used Galen’s formula as the foundation for our own timeless cream, Crème Ancienne. To preserve its rich history, we sought out a European monastery to hand-blend each and every jar. This alchemistic spirit brings the ancient formula into modern relevance.
